About the author
Chip Monaco brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience to Management Wisdom. His career spans C-suite roles in both the public and private sectors, giving him a rare view into what makes managers succeed, and what causes them to struggle or fail.
He has served as Chief Administrative Officer at a public utility, overseeing customer service, information systems, strategic planning, communications, and legislative affairs. He has held senior leadership roles at Fortune 250 companies including Waste Management and CR&R, two of the nation's largest environmental services firms, and served as an elected City Councilmember in Orange County, California.
Chip teaches in the Argyros College of Business and Economics at Chapman University, where he brings real-world case studies to the next generation of business leaders. He holds a Master of Public Administration and a Certification in Servant Leadership, and has mentored dozens of new managers through the hardest transition of their careers.
